Another Drugstore Haul

Tuesday, 3 November 2015

I've always been the kind of person that would splurge on skincare instead of makeup, making me a loyal drugstore lover. I took another trip to me local Boots and grabbed a few items that intrigued me..

Collection Speedy Blush Stick

This has to be the most exciting purchase this time. I picked Tickled pink and Cheeky, an everyday pink and a peachy coral pink respectively. I also picked the Speedy highlighter in Pearl sheen. As the same suggests, they are very easy-to-appy and very blend-able - so indeed very speedy. They remind of me of those crayons that I used to paint with in kindergarten - in a good way. They are not only 'speedy' but very pigmented, glides on smoothly and most of all, very cheap! I can definitely see myself get a LOT of use out of it. Who doesn't want to be speedy in the morning?

Loreal Telescopic Mascara

If you are a viewer of mine on youtube, you would probably already know that I am a massive fan of the Loreal Telescopic Mascara Waterproof. I have used it in many of my videos before and you can click here to watch one of them.  I would honestly crown it with the title of 'The best mascara ever' if I were the queen of Mascara. Sadly it has been discontinued for a while now and I miss it so much. So, I bought the original non-waterproof version of it, hoping that it will hold the curl as well as the waterproof version.

Revlon Powder Blush

I am still a loyal user of the Revlon powder blush in Haute pink, and this time around I am curious to see if its sister, named Racy rose would be as good. One thing I can be sure with is that the colour is stunning yet wearable, and the pigmentation should be no less amazing.

Maybelline gel liner

'The one drugstore gel liner that doesn't budge'. If I say so, then it is very likely to be true. Having the oiliest eyes in the world ever, very few liner lasts on me. And guess what? This is one of them. My old one dried out and I had to buy a new one!

Batiste dry shampoo

To be honest, I do not particularly like batiste dry shampoo. Not that they don't work, it is just now the best. But then why the purchase? It is purely because I do not know which one to buy and I didn't want to risk - some dry shampoo can be terrible and leave your hair looking worse than ever. At least I know Batiste dry shampoo does work and they smell alright.

My Favourite Makeup Bag, Ever?

Zoella Beauty Lace Collar Purse

I am usually not the kind of person that gets crazy over a makeup bag, but this time around I am completely obsessed! This cute little makeup/multi-purpose bag is from Zoella and I have to say it is my favourite item out of all her productions. It is unique, yet adorable and very practical. I have never seen a collar design used on a purse and I love the fact that Zoe used her signature collar shirt look as an inspiration - I could tell straight away its Zoe's work. The royal blue that reflects beautifully is yet anything feature to be Wow at. To me it is this beautiful colour that takes off the childishness and adds more sophistication to the design, unlike other Zoella makeup bags which are clearly more cute and less mature. In terms of practicality, it is sized H10cm x W17cm x D4cm which makes it perfect for carrying minimal makeup products for touching up.
