Whilst the heatwave in England has gone and the temperature has gone down to around 20 degree Celsius, it is still super duper hot in Hong Kong! ( around 30) Thanks to whoever invented air-conditioner!
Back to beauty talk...
I am turning 17 soon and have normal/combination skin. Full on makeup is definitely not something I would go for in Summer especially in Hong Kong as the humidity just melts everything away in about, what?, 30 minutes. Applying less is the golden rule to keep the products on. Well, at least less product is gonna be gone over the course of the day....(?)
Face
After applying moisturiser and sunscreen with spf 50 and pa+++, I use my hands to apply the YSL le teint touche eclat foundation in the shade B10 because I found that using hands gives me the best result. I thought this foundation would give a dewy, radiant finish which I found to not be case. It gives me more of a semi-matte, satin but GLOWING finish. My skin just look better- evened out, brightened up. I do not have dry skin but my skin is dehydrated. I get dry patched around my nose and the foundation does cling to the dry patches, watch out.
I apply my staple concealers, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to any scaring and Rimmel wake me up concealer under my eyes. ( Both not shown in the picture above) Sometimes I would just go straight on to the concealers when my skin is in good mood. Otherwise, I would stick to a thin layer of foundation plus concealer.
Cheek
Nothing can beat the Benefit Dandelion Blush for a natural minimal look. No matter how much I apply, my face just will not turn into a monkey's bum. How Awesome is that. Real techniques blush brush, my fav blush brush, is used with the blush to created a flushed look.
Eyes and Brows
Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and MAC 208 brush. How convenient are these two.
I mix Naked 2 and Faint, light brown and darker cook brown, to create a good color for my brows and use the 218 angled brush to shape. Same brush, with Faint only, to line alone the lash line. Diorshow liner waterproof in black on upper tight line, just a short line above the eyeballs only to create rounder eyes.
1 coat of the Benefit They're real mascara. Bam, Done.
