April Beauty Favourites | The Video

Sunday, 4 May 2014

I seriously cannot believe it's May already. May/June are always associated with exams and work, so they're not my favourite months at all. Having said that, I quite like the weather this time of the year. Not too hot, not too cold. Just Perfect.

Here are a few beauty favourites that I've been using over the past month:

1. Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

First Perfume in my life. A very floral one.
Let's take a look at the ingredient list:

Daisy features top notes of wild strawberry, violet leaves and ruby red grapefruit. Heart notes of violet, jasmine and gardenia. Base notes of vanilla infusion, musks and white woods.

Frankly, the fruity components of this scent didn't come through as much as the floral ones. This fragrance might disappoint you if you're looking for a fruity perfume, just like I did. However, despite the lack of fruitiness, it still smells uuuuper fresh an d summery. I'm tempted, absolutely tempted, to try the honey version. The thought of bees stinging my skin, which the idea itself is rather hideous. Obnoxious if it actually happens though...... just use your imagination. ugh. not pleasant at all. I'll try it one day, I will... But maybe in the winter time when bees are as active? (I'm actually scared.)

2. Bioderma
Water of wonder. Cotton pad, Bioderma, swipe, First cleanse done. I cannot imagine living without Bioderma... seriously.

3. Collection Long lasting Concealer

Current fav. concealer for under eye- weren't expecting that were you? It's known for covering blemishes, but it just oxidises and turns yellow so quicky... Pale skin problems.

4. NARS Radiant Creamy concealer in Chantilly
Pale girls out there, this is the ONE for you. The PERFECT colour! Stay on well too! The only down side is probably the fact that it's expensive.... ughhhhhhh

5. NYX Blush PB06 Peach

Affordable, pigmented, blue-toned pink blush. Good for all skin tones.

6. Benefit Benetint

Lip-cheek in one. The most natural berry flush and the most long lasting better-than-your-lips lip tint.

7. Charles Worthington Texturising Spray

See it in the video- Volume and texture in a bottle!
