a skincare haul with reviews

My skin's condition in October was awful. I have never EVER had such problematic skin: Dry patches, Acnes, Serious blackheads and white heads, redness, dullness etc. Part of it was my own fault. Trust me, going to bed at 4 a.m. in the morning with make up on is the worst thing you could do to your skin. Anyway, the skincare routine I had was just not working on this mess at all. Therefore, I started to look for new products to rescue my skin and here's what I ended up with...

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil

I wouldn't say I am an oil person but Pai just got me obsessed. This Rosehip oil should help with dehydrated skin and improve the appearance of acne scar and it did exactly it's job. Dry patches on my nose were gone and acne scars around my mouth appeared lighter, and this happened overnight. My skin looked and felt wonderful. Oil has since become my very best friend.

If you are scared of the idea of putting oils on your skin, here's my suggestion. Try mixing 1 drop of oil with your regular moisturiser and apply as usually. Even doing so makes a humongous difference to your skin.

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Clay Mask With Red Clay

I've never tried a peel off mask before this one from First Aid Beauty and so far I'm on the fence. It didn't irritate my skin and helped with controlling oil. However, I didn't see much improvement in terms of the size of pores. I will give it a couple more go and report back if I change my opinion on it.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

Redness has always been a problem for me and this gel mask from PetersThomasRoth definitely helped to soothe my skin and reduce the redness. I see it as a mask I would use when my skin is irritated and 'angry'. Gel Masks are stereotypically for summer but I feel like in the winter they work even better because even without refrigerating them you get the maximised cooling effect!
